1. What the service is
A11ySignal crawls web pages you nominate and reports automated accessibility findings against WCAG 2.2. It is a testing tool. It is not legal advice, it is not an accessibility audit, and a clean result is not a certificate of compliance — automated checks cover roughly a third of WCAG, as set out on our methodology page.
2. What you may scan
Only sites you own or are authorised to test. Scanning is deliberately gentle — two pages at a time, robots.txt respected — but permission is your responsibility, not ours. We may suspend an account that scans third-party sites without authorisation, or that uses the free checker as a general-purpose crawler.
3. Your account
Keep your credentials to yourself, and your API keys secret. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you think a key has leaked and we will revoke it.
4. Plans and payment
Paid plans bill monthly or yearly in advance through Paddle, who act as merchant of record and are the seller for the transaction. Prices exclude tax; Paddle adds what your jurisdiction requires. Cancel any time from the billing page — you keep the plan until the end of the period you paid for, then drop to Free. We do not delete your data when you stop paying; the scanner simply stops running on a schedule.
5. Refunds
If the service did not work as described, write to us within thirty days and we will refund the period. We would rather refund someone than argue with them.
6. Availability
We aim to keep the service up and the scheduler running, but this is a small operation and we do not offer a contractual uptime guarantee. Scheduled scans are best-effort: a missed window is retried, not compensated.
7. Your data
Yours stays yours. We process it to run the service, as described in the privacy policy. We do not use your scan results to train anything or to sell to anyone. You can export or delete at any time.
8. Limits of liability
The service is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, our total liability is capped at what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited — death, personal injury, or fraud.
9. Changes
We may change these terms. Material changes are emailed to account holders at least fourteen days before they take effect, and the date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
10. Getting in touch
